A Mother's Journey With Her Son
The following is a story of a mothers' journey with her son:" We adopted D, one of the first methamphetamine babies in the area, from Social Services when he was one year old. He was a challenge from the beginning. When he was three he was diagnosed as ADHD. We had him on the Feingold Diet and found it was better for him not eating artificial ingredients, preservatives or colorants. We were afraid to put him on the Ritalin that was recommended. They said he would possibly become bi-polar and schizophrenic. A complete psychological evaluation was done at Children's Hospital and they said that he had 114 IQ and recommended Sensory Integratiion Therapy as well as an antidepressant. Over time we desperately tried vitamins, Chiropractors, and getting rid of food allergies to no avail. Time and money was spent, as well as many sleepless nights and we were getting no where. Hiring a private tutor was unsuccessful. Word of mouth led us to WELLHAVEN and Yolanda Lange, She started doing cranial work on D and also had us take a look at a possible parasite issue. D used to hit his head a lot and talked about killing himself. Slowly, through persistent cranial sessions and parasite cleanses, D realized his head wasn't fuzzy any more. His father was able to have fun with him! After 10 years of misery, D now plays touch football and just finished reading his first Hardy Boys Mystery! He went from 1st grade reading to 5th grade in one school year. He previously had no interest in reading! He became a lot calmer and we were able to work with him. He was a different child. Since then he has been Brain Integrated , people at school and friends are commenting on how much nicer he is. We are searching for the best learning atmosphere for D."
